Dog Detector Facility Cost Benefit Analysis
|Client||Department of Immigration and Border Protection|
|Role||Independent Advisory Services|
This project examined the operational and functional and financial benefits of the new Dog Detector Facility in Sydney. This Facility would provide a solution to its long-term accommodation requirement. Xact was contracted to develop a business case and Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) to identify any financial implications through whole of life cash flow modelling and analyse / recommend the most viable options.
Xact assembled a highly skilled and experienced team to lead and manage a compelling business case which included the design, planning and costing process for four separate design and delivery options for the new Facility.
The first part of the project was to develop a detailed business case detailing financial scenarios and obtaining Government approval. This required Xact to identify and collect relevant information on the project background and to progressive develop the CBA document for DIBP review and consultation with the Department of Finance.
Xact has subsequently assisted DIBP with market testing and subsequent negotiations.
