Desk Maximisation, Caroline Chisholm Building
|Client||Department of Human Services|
The Department of Human Services office located at the Caroline Chisholm Centre in Tuggeranong, ACT needed to modify its office space to accommodate an expanding workforce.
The Department was spread over three floors and needed to maximise the quantity of workstations so staff could be efficiently accommodated in this space, whilst still fulfilling lease conditions.
A more open plan office layout was required, and works included the addition of new workstations, removal of redundant offices and meeting rooms and the creation of new breakout spaces and tea rooms.
The work was undertaken in an occupied space necessitating a staged fitout with a very strong focus on safety considerations and minimising disruption to the Department's operations.
