The Canberra Institute of Technology (CIT) intended to modernise its Tuggeranong services by creating a new Southside Campus at 205 Anketell Street, Greenway.
Since 2013, Xact had been Project Managing the refurbishment and upgrade of 205 Anketell Street for the building owners 151 Property. By mutual agreement between 151 Property and CIT, Xact was also separately engaged by CIT and Procurement and Capital Works (PCW) as Principal’s Authorised Person to project manage their fitout works concurrently with the base building works.
CIT’s new Southside campus is spread over two floors, with 448m2 of space on the ground floor and the whole of level 1 (1,216m2). The design concept was to be the new benchmark for the CIT, delivering flexible and interchangeable learning spaces along with specialist classrooms for the delivery of vocational education and training for students in the Tuggeranong area.
