In 2011, Charles Sturt University (CSU) had an immediate need for additional office accommodation in Canberra to house three business units. The new premises were required to be located within the central Canberra precinct, near other CSU facilities and amenities. The chosen property at 10 Brisbane Avenue was fitted out appropriately with 21 staff offices, ten postgraduate workstations, two conference rooms, breakout room, kitchen, bathroom and locker room facilities.
In 2012, CSU sought additional accommodation to meet growing operational needs. Xact negotiated the lease of an additional 642m2 at the same site across two floors and subsequently managed the fit out works. The new works created 13 offices, kitchen and bathroom areas. The chosen design also created a self-contained area with large seminar room, attached kitchen and two breakout rooms which could be hired by external clients. The audio visual interactive capabilities of the seminar room allowed users to conduct interactive meetings with all CSU campuses nationwide.
